Private by design: how Constella keeps organizational knowledge inside your boundary
aiprivacy
Why privacy boundaries matter for AI discovery, and what it means for knowledge and the model that learned from it to stay within your control.
For many leaders, the first question about AI discovery is not what it can find but where the data goes. This post looks at the privacy side of Constella.
The concern
Pooling documents, calls and notes into one system creates value and risk. Sensitive material may be exposed if access, storage and model training are not carefully controlled.
What a boundary means here
Constella is designed so that knowledge and the model that learned from it stay inside the boundary you set. That covers two things:
- The graph: your linked captures remain private to your organization.
- The learning: what the model learns from your data is not shared outside that boundary.
Questions to ask any vendor
- Where is data stored and processed?
- Is our data used to train shared models?
- Who inside our organization can see which parts of the graph?
- How are outputs checked for accuracy?
On the last point, see validation layers for enterprise AI.
Governance still matters
Technology controls work best alongside clear policy. The Responsible AI-by-Design Framework outlines how to build fairness, privacy and accountability into AI work from the outset.
Regulated settings
Teams in sectors such as healthcare or banking should review their own compliance requirements before adoption.
